Dear Parents,

I have been teaching since 1994 after obtaining my education degree from Bristol University in England. After five years of teaching in Bristol, I moved to Oman to take up a post at PDO's primary school in 1999.

My specialized area is early literacy and I have mostly taught the 4-7 age groups. I find it most rewarding helping young learners become enthusiastic and passionate readers and writers. I believe that teachers and parents should work together to support their children’s learning in a creative way by providing the appropriate resources.

At Apple Green School the Jolly Phonics scheme is used and is based on rotational learning centres. This programme has proved to be successful in many British and International schools.

I am pleased to be part of the team at this exciting new school, and I look forward to working closely with you and your children. If you would like to meet with me, I am available on Sundays & Mondays at 1:00pm to 2:00pm. However, please call the school in advance or communicate through your child’s dairy to confirm the meeting.
